I don't feel a compliment determines your sexiness but it does make you feel a whole lot better. Much as we don't like to admit, validation from others is important...just not totally necessary. Most everyone wants to feel that the path they're on is a good one (looks, career, family, etc) so getting that compliment - from someone worthy - helps push that along.
Thanks Media Man for your comment! Sometimes women feel they need validation from the opposite sex to feel complete. Personally I think you have to think highly of yourself and you have to have confidence. If you don't you will let the opposite sex determine your worth!
